(verballed, verballing) Brit. sl. attribute a damaging statement to (a suspect). øverbal noun Gram. a noun formed as an inflection of a verb and partly sharing its constructions (e.g. smoking in smoking is forbidden: see -ING(1)). øøverbally adv.
